Job Description
Supervise and mentor field survey teams, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection.
Conduct topographic, boundary, construction, and as-built surveys.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other data to plan projects.
Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations.
Operate and calibrate surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate survey data into design and construction plans.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying laws and standards.
Prepare detailed survey reports, legal descriptions, and documentation.
Utilize CAD and GIS software for drafting and data analysis.
Maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Stay updated on industry technologies, regulations, and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license [or equivalent regional certification] required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant surveying experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Proficient in modern surveying tools, GPS systems, and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, Leica).
Strong understanding of geodetic and legal principles related to surveying.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in both office and outdoor field environments.
