Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for sandblasting by cleaning and masking areas to prevent damage to adjacent surfaces.
Select appropriate blasting materials based on the type of surface and desired finish, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Set up and operate sandblasting equipment, including compressors and nozzles, while maintaining optimal safety protocols.
Regularly inspect and maintain sandblasting equipment to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
Monitor the blasting process to achieve desired surface texture while avoiding overblasting or damage to the substrate.
Conduct quality control checks post-blasting to ensure surfaces meet specified standards and repair any imperfections.
Adhere to all environmental regulations regarding waste disposal and air quality during the sandblasting process.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to assess project requirements and timelines for effective workflow.
Document work progress and report any issues or discrepancies to management promptly.
Participate in safety training sessions and maintain awareness of hazards associated with sandblasting operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Aramco approval certification
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational training in industrial processes preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in sandblasting or related surface preparation roles.
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is highly desirable to ensure workplace safety compliance.
Proficient in the use and maintenance of various sandblasting equipment and tools.
Strong understanding of different blasting media and their applications across various materials.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute precise blasting tasks.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring quality finishes that meet project specifications.
Physical stamina and strength to handle equipment and perform tasks in demanding environments.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, based on project demands.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
