Job Overview
The Sales Manager – IT Services will be responsible for leading the sales team, achieving revenue targets, acquiring new clients, and managing end-to-end sales operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent relationship management skills to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and actionable plans.
Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages ownership and accountability.
Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance evaluations.
2. Sales Target Achievement
Set and achieve personal and team sales targets in alignment with company goals.
Track performance through reports and provide tailored support to maximize results.
Recognize and reward achievements to maintain motivation and engagement.
3. End-to-End Sales Management
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Address client concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
4. Sales Strategy Development
Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to align with market trends and business objectives.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Refine strategies to explore new markets and optimize sales performance.
5. Client Acquisition & Meetings
Conduct 3–5 client meetings daily to pitch IT services and solutions.
Use field visits, cold calls, and referrals to generate new business.
Focus on acquiring SMEs, startups, enterprises, and government organizations.
6. Proposal & Negotiation
Prepare customized proposals and presentations that highlight value propositions.
Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure client satisfaction and company profitability.
Continuously refine sales pitch techniques based on client needs.
7. Payment Collection & Invoicing
Follow up regularly to ensure timely payment collections.
Address invoicing concerns and resolve disputes efficiently.
Collaborate with finance teams to streamline payment processes.
8. Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary contact for client interactions, ensuring timely responses.
Provide post-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling IT services.
9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and analyze team and individual performance against KPIs and sales targets.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and deal progress in CRM systems.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to senior management.
10. Market Analysis & Adaptation
Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Share insights with internal teams to drive product innovation.
Stay updated with industry advancements to identify new opportunities.
11. Collaboration with Internal Teams
Work closely with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Provide feedback to management for refining sales processes and market strategies.
12. Representation & Networking
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Build a professional network to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting the company's services.
13. Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and improve sales strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide actionable insights to management to enhance market approaches.
Daily Tasks
Client Acquisition & Meetings: Conduct field visits and schedule meetings with potential clients.
Lead Generation & Outreach: Use cold calling, email marketing, and social media to connect with prospects.
Sales Pitch & Proposals: Develop tailored presentations and proposals for clients.
Payment Collection: Follow up with clients for timely payments and address invoicing concerns.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication to ensure high client satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation: Keep detailed records of all sales activities and progress in CRM systems.
Key Skills & Competencies
Sales Expertise: Proven experience in IT services sales, including SaaS, ERP, and custom software solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for client engagement and presentations.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools, social media marketing, and IT solutions.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms effectively.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple leads, and meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Quick to identify client needs and provide suitable solutions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of proven sales experience in IT services or software solutions.
Preferred: Experience in B2B sales, client management, and working with enterprise clients.
