Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Wind Control Room Operator shall be responsible for performing all day-to-day operational activities of 1.7GW windfarm from 24/7 central control room at Neom Green Hydrogen Plant. The core objective shall be to ensure smooth and efficient operation, keeping into account the electricity requirements of green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility sited in NEOM, while always prioritizing the safety of personnel and asset.
This role will be reporting to the Wind Operations Supervisor based out of Aqaba-Neom, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia.
The main functions of this position are:
Perform operations in-line with O&M Manual, standard operating procedures and OEM recommendations.
Report the plant performance in accordance with established operational KPIs
Monitor alarms and events at SCADA and timely communication to maintenance teams for remedial action
Support in fault data analysis and assessment of data from Condition Monitoring System
Desired Candidate Profile
BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma with 10 years of technical and managerial experience in the same field
3+ years experience in operation of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50MW
Good knowledge of SCADA operations of Wind Turbines / HV/MV Substation equipment
Basic understanding and concept of maintenance activities of windfarm
Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
Knowledge of managing HSE emergencies
Good decision making, analytical and technical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
Good organization, prioritization and time management skills to monitor and handle complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
